Special Libraries Association Meeting Friday, 2010-11-05

Meeting called to order by Tanya as soon as LSO ended.

Tanya will send out an email this weekend to the list serve for nominations for SLA.

$572.86

Postal History Foundation tour will be on Saturday.

Discussion ensued about faculty recognition by the organizations given out at graduation. PLG hands out an award. Do we need to give out an award? Azul will check into this and old president will be contacted for more info.

Ramona brought up that Spring Fling participation needs to be done by Nov. 8^th. This event is April 7^th to the 10^th. Consensus is that we will not participate.

Ramona and Shawna will be invited to participate on OrgSync. Tanya will send out the invitation.

Bingo at Bumstead’s can be done after the first of the year. All three groups can participate and split the money. This will be spearheaded by Tanya.

Shawna motioned to end the meeting. Tanya seconded. Meeting was adjourned at 6:52 pm.

Tour of AHSL Friday, October 15 – 4:00 pm 15 People attended.

ASUA Workshops:

Member Recruitment – Brooke Laughlin

Tour of AZ State Prison on Wilmot canceled.

ASUA Workshops: Club members may attend for club 3 out of 5 times for a $100.00 contribution from ASUA to the club.

Three more ASUA workshops to go. Tatiana is going to the Grant Writing workshop (see below).
