Responsibilities:

The Library Aide, P/T is responsible for the supervision of a general purpose and/or law library designed to accommodate the social, educational and legal interest and needs of an inmate population. In addition to obtaining and maintaining reference materials for inmates, the Library Aide will ensure adequate resource materials for facility employees. This is a part-time position that regularly works less than 30 hours per week.

Technical Librarian / E-Resources Librarian, Sandia National Laboratories Technical Library, Albuquerque, New Mexico

The selected candidate will initially take the role of Electronic Resources Librarian – leading and having primary responsibility for coordinating the purchase and licensing of all electronic materials; implementing and managing electronic resource management applications including SFX and MetaLib; collecting usage statistics and creating reports needed to manage and monitor electronic resource subscriptions; and troubleshooting access, maintenance, and other performance issues related to electronic resources. The selected individual will be a part of a rotational team providing Reference/Research, Collection Management, Metadata/Cataloging, E-Access/Document-Delivery and User Education/Outreach Services – with approximately 25-50% of work time being assigned to play a critical role in each of these areas, as well as contribute to the Technical Library's efforts to become a fully-functional Library of the Future.
